Student Green Team

Green Team Mission statement: To support students, teachers, staff and parents in efforts to promote a healthy school and community environment and actively work toward making an impact on our world through education, action, collaboration and student empowerment.

Participants will:

• Attend Green Team meetings. 
• Learn about and model “green behavior” at school and in the community.
• Help plan, organize and participate in Earth Week activities (April).
• Learn about food waste reduction, and from time to time, help during lunch time to sort food waste.
• Learn ways to save energy and conserve water.
• Help take care of the school garden.

Application process: Anyone in grades 3-5 who is interested in being a Green Community Leader must submit an application form.
